Studies show that over 80% of businesses that have a website do not know how to promote their businesses on the internet. Out of those 20% that do know how to promote online only 12% actually follow through with the work that is required to utilize the internet to the best of their ability to promote their products and services.

So where does this leave us, as photographers? Pretty much at ground zero. An online presence is one thing, but actually knowing what to do with that presence is another thing. Sales & Marketing

Although the goal of any business is to strive and create a stream of income, many photographers and artists alike are not comfortable with sales and the actual transaction of money from your client to you. We will give you an overview about the art of sales and tools you can use to increase your sales.

We will offer classes that cover everything from pre qualifying the potential client and creating a relationship between you and the client, to the close. We will also work on the secrets to up selling and closing the deal with everyone walking out of the sales office happy. If you are at ease during the sale, your client will be too!

If you are just starting a business, need to go in a different direction, or just infuse some life into your company, the first thing you need to think about is branding. Do you have a brand that reflects your photography and your business? What type of photography do you want to do and how are you going to market it? Are you active in the community? These are just some of the topics we will be offering in the coming months.

Photoshop & Lightroom

If you are an amateur photographer looking for a way to spruce up your little leaguer's portrait or you own a studio and you're looking for a way to spice up your images to offer your client something extra in your images. Our craft has evolved and turning an ordinary image into extraordinary is, almost literally, at the tips of our fingers. Our tools of choice are none other than Lightroom and Photoshop to make the amazing truly become unbelievable.

HGR Solutions will be offering Photoshop and Lightroom classes for all levels. Whether you are a beginner just touching the keys for the first time in Photoshop or a pro looking for more advanced classes we will be offering classes taught by Jon Haverstick, Troy Miller, Anthony Guerra and several guest instructors. Throughout the year we will not leave any stones unturned when it comes to the enhancement of our images.

It all begins on October 30th with our 3-hour Introduction to Lightroom class with Troy Mill that focuses on organizing your workflow. This class is perfect for EVERY photographer, beginner or advanced. Our 2013 schedule is Lightroom educational and Photoshop plentiful.

Guest Speakers

In 2013 we will be having a guest instructor every month that specializes in something very unique that we don't get to learn about on a daily basis. Our goal is to bring new and exciting techniques to HGR Solutions through renowned instructors that have truly honed in on their skills and are not necessarily from this area.

Our general focus for these classes will be in the photography and photoshop realm and not necessarily on the business or web aspect of photography. So expect to learn new and exciting techniques in photography as well as some of the most unique techniques in lightroom and photoshop but every now and then be on the lookout for an extraordinary class that focuses on the business of photography.
